Ivo Boscarol received a gold plaque from the University of Nova Gorica

At the meeting on March 23, 2020, the Board of Directors of the University of Nova Gorica decided to award the Golden Plaque of the University of Nova Gorica to Ivo Boscarol for his fruitful cooperation in the field of research and for promoting the construction of the infrastructure for the University of Nova Gorica. The award was presented to him at a ceremony held at the Lanthieri mansion in Vipava on 28 September 2021, on the threshold of the new academic year.

He was also awarded the flattering title of Professor Emeritus of the University of Nova Gorica.

At the ceremony, the keynote speaker, elementary particle physicist prof. dr. Boštjan Golob, began by addressing the audience in the auditorium and in front of the screens: “Today’s honorees, Prof. Dr. Miran Veselič and Mr. Ivo Boscarol, have each done an outstanding job in their respective parts of our common ecosystem. I am happy and proud that they have joined forces with our university in their efforts. With the university that has a proven track record of success and bold ideas in the field of green technologies. In the hope of a joint realization of these, I sincerely thank and congratulate both awardees”, concluded Prof. Dr. Golob and congratulated the award winners.
