Extraordinary success of Mare Santo sparkling wine at the “World’s Finest Glass of Bubbly” event in London

The "World's Finest Glass of Bubbly" international competition took place in London from 8 to 10 September 2025. At the event, they present the Glass of Bubbly Award, which honors outstanding sparkling wines from across the globe.
The jury included prominent wine critics and merchants, oenologists, sommeliers who live and work in London and Great Britain, as well as publicists and journalists from all over the world, a truly diverse range of the elite wine avant-garde. Sparkling wines were evaluated in eighteen evaluation categories.
A total of 243 sparkling wines from around the world participated in this year's evaluation. Slovenian winemakers participated with 37 sparkling wines. Slovenian wines were among the finalists in 12 categories and claimed the first place in two categories.
This year's event was particularly notable, as one of the Slovenian wines won not only a medal or the title of category winner, but even the second highest award of the entire event.
The Treasure of the Sea Rosé – Mare Santo sparkling wine won the flattering title "Sustainability Trophy in partnership with Slow Food UK".
This is also the highest award that any Slovenian wine has won at this event so far.
The Sustainability Trophy is awarded to one winemaker each year. The winner receives a beautiful handmade trophy in the shape of a cork stopper for one year as temporary possession. The sculpture carries labels from all previous winners.
But that's not all, as Mare Santo wines also won 2 individual gold medals in the competition, namely the Rosé wine was awarded in the "Forget me not" category, and the Cuvée in the "Creamy" category.
