Bikerguard and Mare Santo Wines at the Tour of Slovenia cycling race

The Slovenian international cycling race (Tour of Slovenia), organized by the Novo Mesto Cycling Club, has been the largest and most prominent cycling event in the country for many years. It belongs to the UCI ProSeries (category 2.Pro).
This time, the 32nd edition of the race took place between June 17 and 21, 2026, and with it, the Mare Santo sparkling wine entered the world of cycling. At the finishes in Celje, Kranjska Gora, and Novo Mesto, the stage winners and the overall winner celebrated with Mare Santo sparkling wine.

They received the bottles of sparkling wine from the hands of Ivo Boscarol, who recognized the potential of maturing wines in the sea and now stands behind one of the most innovative wine stories on a global level.

Members of motorcycle escort police were equipped with Bikerguard helmet wipers in case of rainy weather.

At the finishing lines of stages, a part of the Bikerguard team also exhibited and demonstrated the functionality of the wiper and its contribution to safety while riding in the rain.

About the race: The first edition of the Tour of Slovenia started in May 1993 and had eight stages. Over the three decades of its existence, it has developed and today represents a top sports and tourism project that brings the world’s best cyclists to Slovenian roads. Since 2017 it has been broadcast on Eurosport and TV Slovenia, and has been watched live by an audience of several million.
A total of 26 cyclists won the 31 races. The cyclists who won the race twice were: Mitja Mahorič, Jure Golčer, Diego Ulissi, Primož Roglič and Tadej Pogačar.
Ten Slovenians won 14 times and 16 foreign cyclists won 17 times. In 31 races, cyclists covered a total of 24,433.6 kilometers. In 2026, they exceeded the 25,000 km mark.
