In his speech upon receiving the award, Boscarol emphasised the importance of the aviation industry in Slovenia and the importance of the CAA for further development of the industry.
“I owe the award to my former team at Pipistrel, as well as to the Agency that was instrumental in Pipistrel’s milestones,” he stated.
“Both the first two-seater electric aircraft and the first four-seater hydrogen-powered aircraft in the world bore Slovenian markings because the Agency was flexible and understood the future of such propulsion.”

The Director of the Civil Aviation Agency of the Republic of Slovenia (CAA), Damjan Bregar, said at the conference that the safety situation in Slovenian aviation is currently at a high level and there are no significant deviations from other European countries that are leaders in this field, but there is still room for improvement, for example in the area of regulation and awareness.
