Great American International Wine Competition

The Great American International Wine Competition is a prestigious international selection, to which 126 producers from all over the world submitted 650 different wines in seven categories this year. They were evaluated by 14 judges – renowned sommeliers, oenologists, wine critics, and wine producers and merchants from various countries.

About the organizer:
The Raise a Glass Foundation is a non-profit organization that was established to support charitable organizations around the world. Funds from registration fees go to organizations such as Haccamo and Sunshine Campus – two summer camps for children with disabilities; InterVol – a humanitarian group that collects unused medical supplies and hospital equipment and sends them to countries in need; the American Diabetes Association; the American Heart Association; and more than 20 other charity organizations.
In addition to the funds raised at the competition, the Raise a Glass Foundation also donates thousands of unopened award-winning bottles of wine, beer and spirits – which charities use in their fundraising galas, dinners, auctions and other events.

About Mare Santo Wines:

Mare Santo – sparkling wine produced in the green hills of Collio and aged in the Slovenian sea (https://maresanto.com) combines innovation, heritage and the secrets of the deep sea.

Igor Tomažič, a renowned Slovenian winemaker, has created something truly original with his innovation, passion for perfection, and deep respect for nature. He drew inspiration from old Slovenian traditions, proven techniques, and the wisdom of natural cycles. In collaboration with Ivo Boscarol, a world-renowned entrepreneur and aviation pioneer, a project was created that goes beyond the known: sparkling wine aged under the waves of the Adriatic Sea.

Mare Santo sparkling wine is recognized for its superior quality, for which it has received several awards around the world, such as the second highest award at last year’s event World’s Finest Glass of Bubbly in London.

But Mare Santo is not just a top-quality sparkling wine, but a unique luxury gift with three stories:

The first is its taste and appearance. During the two-year aging process in the sea with patented permeable cork technology, the sparkling wine acquires a special marine flavor. Each bottle of Mare Santo also gets a unique surface and appearance, as it becomes naturally overgrown with seashells and other marine organisms. The result is a unique, visually distinctive and exclusive product, particularly sought after in premium markets.
The second is its symbolic meaning, marking a memorable event when opening the bottle and celebrating an important milestone in your life.
The third is sustainable, because even when you empty it, its unique appearance can maintain its value as a decorative item or flower vase, and when placed in an important space in your house, it permanently evokes memories of unforgettable moments.

Each bottle is different and more unique than purposed handmade creations, as it is created by the nature itself. That’s why Mare Santo sparkling wine is intended for unique experiences and the most demanding guests.
