Ivo Boscarol spoke at the 46th Woodenware Fair in Ribnica

The Ribnica Woodenware and Pottery Fair, organised by the Ribnica Tourist Association, takes place annually on the first Sunday in September and is the largest tourist and ethnological event in Slovenia.

On the stalls 25 local woodenware and pottery makers and 45 other craftsmen from all over Slovenia, presented a varied and diverse selection of goods, ranging from spoons, brooms, toothpicks, wooden and clay pots, to a wide variety of other products. There was also a variety of culinary specialities prepared by the Hrovača Village Ethnological Tourist Association, hunters, fishermen, mushroom pickers and other caterers.
The official opening ceremony began at 9 am in the centre of Ribnica. The audience was welcomed and addressed by Mr. Jože Zakrajšek, the President of the Ribnica Tourist Board; Mr. Samo Pogorelc, the Mayor of the Municipality of Ribnica; Mr. Franc But, the speaker and the new Ambassador of Slovenia to the Vatican – and by the entrepreneur Ivo Boscarol as the guest of honour.
