Odiseja – a center for culture, entertainment and business events – begins operation

The once iconic Kolosej is returning to the scene – today in a completely new image and with a new name – Odiseja. On the last day of school, a modern multi-functional center opens, combining cinema, theater, concerts, business events, catering, and modern spaces for socializing under one roof. This gives Ljubljana the most advanced cultural-business complex in the country.

The company Boscarol d.o.o. purchased the Kolosej facility at an auction in September 2022 as an interesting opportunity in a strategic location next to two motorway exits, on the edge of the BTC in Ljubljana, but after a series of complications, only managed to take it over from the bankruptcy trustee in March 2023. After preparing the plans for revitalization project, the company obtained a building permit in March 2024. What followed was a complete revitalization, which also included earthquake-, fire- and cyber-security systems with three separate networks, energy renovation of mechanical installations and new electrical installations. The facility features a lot of state-of-the-art technology – all with sustainability, functionality, and a superior user experience in mind.

From the initial 14,513.83 m2, the facility is now increased to 19,811.50 m2 of functional area.
The Boscarol company invested EUR 16 million in the renovation, of which just over EUR 6 million went for the purchase of the facility.
The company Odisejada d.o.o., which leases and manages the facility, has invested EUR 8 million in technology and equipment.

The main acquisition is a new central multi-purpose event venue with a large stage, state-of-the-art sound system with stage technology and a capacity of 3,100 standing or 1,200 seats, complemented by:

• • VIP lounge, grandstand and galleries connected in 2 large, partially covered outdoor terraces measuring 300 m2
  • Backstage dressing room, gallery for technicians
  • 7 bars under the own management of the Odisejada d.o.o. company
  • 10 premises with a diverse offer in the basement
  • New extension / delivery + logistics + backstage

Your universe of experiences – Odiseja will be able to offer something interesting for visitors of all age groups: from primary cinema activities, theater, concerts and business conferences to a diverse range of restaurants, shops and services.

The facility maintains 12 halls ranging in size from 57 to 499 seats (3,004 seats in total), intended for both cinema and various other events. The halls are equipped with various projection, sound and stage technology. Standard seats have reclining backrests that adjust to your body posture, while VIP seats also offer mobile phone charging equipment, among other features. All projectors are energy-efficient. Some halls offer 3D experiences, others have LED cinema screens, and some also have stage equipment for theater, dance, and other events. The facility has its own public charging station for electric cars, which will be open 24 hours a day, every day of the year.
