Purchase of Mercator Center Maribor Tabor

The company Boscarol Ltd. on June 7, 2023, was the most successful bidder in the sales process of bank Nova KBM d.d. for the purchase of the property of the Hipermarket Mercator Maribor Tabor II shopping center at Ulica Eve Lovše 1, 2000 Maribor and became its new owner.

Boscarol Ltd. continues to invest in various types of investments, including real estate. The Tabor II shopping center in Maribor is one of the 5 largest Mercator hypermarkets in Slovenia.
It was built in 2011 and covers a total area of 41,425 m2, of which 22,995 m2 of usable space is intended for retail and catering activities and and has more than 800 parking spaces, 570 of which are in a covered garage.

In addition to Mercator’s shopping centre, the complex also houses approximately 40 shops of prestigious brands, providers of banking and other services, and several catering outlets. The building also has the possibility of upgrading and adding three office towers. It is located in the Tabor residential area in Maribor in an excellent location with several main transport links.

Prior to the bid, Boscarol Ltd. conducted a survey among existing tenants, customers and residents of the wider area, all of whom expressed satisfaction with the current manager and the center itself, the location and sales. Some information was also obtained on how to make the facility even more attractive to users and what additional content they want. We would like to thank everyone who participated in the survey and the IT Melona company that carried it out.

The new owner continues with the long-term rental contract for the center, which Mercator d.d. concluded with the previous owner and looks forward to a successful long-term cooperation.
We are confident that together we will refresh the facility itself and its offer to justify the trust shown by customers and residents of the wider Maribor area. The opening hours and the mode of operation remain unchanged.
